Honestly i love the quest 2 but that thing is built to be as cheap as possible, controllers included. Had drift start up on both my controllers really bad after about a year of use. I took apart the controllers sprayed caned air cleaner the whole package and the drift came back just as bad like 2 days later.

Sounds like a stick drift to me. I fixed mine with some isopropyl alkohol and q-tips. Just put a tiny bit of the alkohol on the q-tip and rub it on the area where the stick is connected with the controller. Now spin the stick around for a bit to make sure the alkohol gets everywhere.
