I barely use any polyfill in my monotubs, just enough to keep dust and stuff out. If you got the moisture right to begin with, a fair amount of FAE is necessary to help the mushrooms reach their potential. What do I need to make a monotub? A fruiting Boomr Bin. Spore syringe or liquid culture syringe. Injection port bag or fully-colonized grain spawn. Clear plastic bin (like those made by Sterilite) or a ready-made monotub. An opaque black contractor bag (if you are going to make your own monotub) Polyfill or self-adhesive monotub filters.
