I really liked it, and then saw a used P229 in .40 at a local store and decided to buy it. The P229 felt better in hand and I really enjoyed shooting it. Hmmm. Usually guns become discontinued because they don't sell well, or have a repeated issue (s) malfunctioning. I don't recall the last time (if ever) my P239 in 9 malfunctioned. I could see however that it may not be selling well against some of the other offerings they are selling currently.
