Oct 27, 2020 · 12200411 PCM swap for 1996 to 2000 GMT400 trucks. Since we have a new 96 up Vortec subsection, I thought I would make a new post. The 12200411 PCM can be installed into the 96 to 2000 GMT400 trucks simply by repining the PCM connector terminals. The wiring is slightly different between the 96, 97, and 98 to 2000 trucks. Questions About VIN Swapping. Okay.. Let's see if I can explain this in the quickest way possible. Started with a 411 PCM from a 2000 truck. I licensed the PCM and began tuning. Everything is good with the tune/truck/programming until I swapped in electric fans. Figured out the O/S that was on the original PCM could not properly run the fans.

Parts needed for the swap are a 0411 PCM, Plugs and you'll need a few pigtails. Prepare the 0411 PCM plugs, take out all wires, clean them up, I used a magic marker to highlight the pin numbers, also lay the 0411 PCM in place and plug Blue and Red plugs into PCM, mark top and bottom before you start pulling blue or red caps and pulling wires.These XDF files are for use with the 2001 and 2002 PCM (512Kb), with Service Number 12200411. I really doubt there is anyone out there sell a harness for this engine meant for the 0411. You might find a universal harness meant for ls swaps, but it would likely require swapping in your connectors. These arent really peanut ports. The 0411 is an easy swap, takes about 2-3 hours to pull the wires form their old connectors and snap them into the new connectors/positions,....using a pin-out sheet.
