All Steam games will have 1 or 2 files that will fail to validate. I think one has to do with DirectX. You might want to go to Microsoft and Update DirectX to make sure all your files are up to date. The "one file failed to validate and will be reacquired" is normal. It happens to me too and the game works fine for me. That one file is just a save file or something that wont be overridden because then you lose progress. Thats just a guess tho.
