This can be resolved with a touch of aluminum foil on the Positive end contact of the controller. There are pads inside the controllers and it seems as though one is stuck. Using a thin blade, carefully slide it in the groove around the trigger, pushing straight in. Pull straight out and move it to another spot and try it again. You should be able to push it back, out of the way. Be careful and don't force too hard.
