The instructions are pretty good and you can always supplement them with a YouTube video. I recently had to do work on two toilets. One toilet had a bad fill valve. The fill valve had just been replaced a couple years ago with another a different brand last time. The other toilet had ancient parts in the tank, including an older-style flush valve.
