My 2009 xB started to have this problem about 4 days ago. There's been a delay in gear shifting from 2nd to 3rd. VSC Off and check engine lights are on. Scanner gives DTC code P0793 (Intermediate Shaft Speed Sensor A Circuit No Signal) 1/1. During replacement I disconnected the battery.The xA and The xB both use the same drivetrain and therefore suffer from the same issue. There is no easy way to tighten the serpentine belt. And that is an issue. #1 suspect if you hear the belt squeal when you turn the AC on is a loose belt. If you turn the Defrost on, it turns the AC on to help get rid of the moisture.
