Today is CD18 and it started rising back. The flashing smiley indicates oestrogen, but you have to remember it isn’t looking for a specific amount, it is looking for an increase in the level. (so it could be going from very low to slightly less low). So you will never get a flashing smiley on the first day because it’s just getting a baseline.

I purchased the Clearblue digital test and it detected estrogen (flashing smiley face) on Monday the 7th. I tested again on Tuesday the 8th and it confirmed the LH levels with a solid smiley face which stayed on for 48 hours.

Ive found if it start at cd7 I get the flashing smiley by day 8. If I start at cd8, it skips the flashing smiley. I will say though that I’ve been doing advanced opks for a year now and just realized I always get flashing smileys starting at cd8 regardless of when I O (has varied from CD 11-19).
