So what happens then? The better applicants found themselves in “lower-ranked” schools like Kenyon who could have made it into Emory or UVA in the “big research uni” group. Simply put, Liberal Arts Colleges have fewer places than the big mainstream universities and as such, the places are more “coverted” in the sense.</p>
