Immensely pleased with everything but lack of trailer reverse steering control, but that's not related to the engine. It seems to me these engines are blowing their brains out towing. appearantly VernDiesel's 2014 EcoDiesel never got that memo. 371,000 miles on the first engine before lifting a head gasket. That's it. GM put the 350 olds into their cars and pickups to boost fuel mileage and it worked. Same with the 6.2 and 6.5 engines in the 1/2 ton platforms.

Just following up on this. The engine is apart, and the #2 and 3 mains are spun. These cranks have a very small service range (2.9110"-2.9117"- that's less than 0.001"), so spun bearings are definitely going ruin it unless it's caught and shut off immediately. Mine measured 2.9092" on the #3 main, so it's toast.
