Tried disconnecting the battery, the whole drive straight thing, brake pads, rotors, fluid has all been done recently. Starter, battery, alternator all tested good, starts and runs just fine as if the lights weren’t on. Tran fluid is good, 4WD works.Turn off the engine. Restart the engine and pull straight ahead in drive. Light should go off in a couple of hundred feet. This tutorial is based on the Nissan owner’s manual. The procedure above can be applied to second generations of Nissan Xterra (2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 model years).

If I hit the rear diff switch the REAR DIFF light goes out and then ABS and SLIP come on. I can hear the 4wd engage both high and low when I turn it on with my door open.Alex S. December 14, 2020.
