I'm of the opinion that Wyvern Counter is the best thing in the entire kit of any LBG build. The damage uptime you get while using it (and it allowing you near 100% MM uptime) is just exceptional. Fanning maneuver is neat but imo harder to use efficiently/less reliable than Wyvern Counter, and isn't as good even if used perfectly

As others have said, to maximize damage, focus on 1 shot type. This gun is good for normal 3 or spread 3. Pierce 3 is kinda meh currently. If you want pierce, I'd suggest Malzeno for rapid fire pierce 2. Here are my suggested skills for LBG: A. Shot type (spread up, normal/rapid up, pierce up) lvl 3 - only focus on 1 so it's not hard to buildJho has higher raw and Sleep ammo as a mez. Blackwing II has an extra augment slot, one deco slot, and less deviation. If you invest all your custom upgrades into attack, the difference in sticky damage is tiny. So I say start with Jho and eventually at like MR100 you can farm enough to make Blackwing a better choice. This means that you need 3 armor pieces to get the +20% damage of SU3, which also means sacrificing the ability to get AB4, CB, and some form of crit. In comparison you can easily get Pierce Up 3, AB4+, CB2, and plenty of crit with narga LBG (w/o charms BTW). I don't see a way of building Spread effectively without lucky charm rolls. Spread up ... I used wroggi and GI LBG up until I made the narga bowgun, but you can probably use rheno or dreamshell armour for pierce up to boost damage a bit. Also consider HR ore for Normal 2 spam and HR remobra for Shrapnel/Spread, but both drop off substantially, and GI has the advantage of RF slicing as well for more mats via tails.

Overall it can achieve similar damage output to shagaru's lbg but should be used on monsters with large weakpoints. The only lbg that MIGHT beat it is the Wind Serpent one since it can rapid Shrapnel 2. BUT I also have a fully decked out pierce build with the Narga LBG now at end game. The best fights for pierce are blessed with good hitzones to activate wex. Anja, Mizu(both normal and Apex), Narwa, and Ibushi - piercing ice is not good against narwa. Like, at all. her ice hitzones are actually garbage. Her highest ice hzv is 10, and that's only while enraged metropcs miami Pierce is good and easy to play, but I have found it not on par with other builds. I have been using La Vertu. Shreds Magnamalo, and things like Bazel and Goss, but struggled with lots of white numbers against everything else. Spread 3 with final boss LBG just wrecks, but I only use it against small guys and Rajang.Fire: Silver Asgard (Silver Los) - Can Rapid Fire both Pierce lv 1 shots and P.Flaming lv 2 shots as well as having a nice 350 raw.
