Connected red wire to red wire going to starter solenoid on battery positive side. The alternator is a brand new and so is the wiring harness going into the back/side of the alternator. 81 CJ-7 build Gen V 5.3, 6L80E. Starting a new build. Base is an '81 CJ-7. The OEM one isn't going to work anymore due to the motor etc being out of it. If you want to figure out if it is the sender or the gauge (not likely the gauge) you could measure the resistance at the connector with a full tank of gas and compare it to the resistance with an empty one.The codes it pulled from that were P0300 multiple misfire and P0152 Bank 2 position 1 O2 sensor high voltage. I added some displays to the Torque app to look at my O2 voltages and found this - O2 bank 2 position 2 is at 0.0V and bank 1 is at 1.3V.
