Hammers and greatswords are both kinda eh weapon types in this game, and holy is also kind of an eh damage type in this game. Looking purely at their weapon arts, Sacred Relic Sword's is more useful, impressive, and unique in function. And just generally better.

Not really its just for rune farm. Has its uses in 6man pvp where you can spam to aow into the back of people fighting for cheap kills. I use it only for its ash of war. As a regular weapon, I don't find its moveset particularly good, especially for pvp. The ash of war is also fantastic against practically every ash summon in the arena as well.It's cool but it's slower than rivers and it's requires a different build more towards faith cuz it's holy damage but the output in damage can be great just not as spammable as rivers which is a good thingi wanna use sacred relic sword to farm and i dont wanna invest too much points into faith and dex cuz i need too much runes to level up once.
