I have a 2015, already gone thru Dieselgate and am looking to tune and delete. I noticed that most of the delete kits do not include the Turbo to DPT pipe or "Downpipe". I am thinking that the one sensor on that pipe is a Turbo output temp reader.the biggest hindrance to decent fuel economy is a short-trip commute and excessive use of your right foot on both pedals. Pre-fix, my 2014 Jetta w/DSG averaged 49 MPG over a 5 month period on a 350 mile round-trip "commute" (once-a-week). Just now getting ready to put on post-fix hwy miles for comparison. W. But they want $599 USD for a down pipe. Rawtek is in Canada and I live in Canada. That means with exchange just the downpipe costs me right around $800. To me that price is ridiculous for a product that maybe costs them $200 to build. I don't need a gold plated product. I just want a decently priced downpipe.

Fuel is fairly cheap here in the states, compared to most other places. And your realistic 5% wont make up the difference for a long time. 10 year or less depending on how much you drive and the lead foot effect of nodding your car wont help. You will have a most nasty smelling exhaust and a slightly better sounding car.

Then you can plug right into the stock exhaust and muffler.3mpg is a bit low. Many are reporting 10mpg, and two guys on this thread are reporting 3-5mpg.
