The Hyundai never gave me a problem towing. I'd still get 29mpg towing (60-65mph). I changed the oil regularly and used synthetic and changed tranny fluid every 60,000. The xB should tow fine. The other day I changed the oil in my 2008 Scion xB, and after I reset the Maintenence Required warning light, the speedometer switched from reading in Miles/H to Km/H.
