I think people that tested have confirmed it's a 20% chance for exotic if you platinum a legend lost sector...but that doesn't mean you automatically get one after 5 runs. You are only getting exotics from a finite loot pool. If someone wants to farm for rolls lost sectors are an option. It's questionable whether or not lost sector farming is better than Nightfalls. Lost Sectors have a smaller loot pool, but lower drop rates. Nightfalls (at least Master or up) have a high drop rate, but the loot pool isn't limited.I have done 19 lost sectors and got one exotic arm on my first run, nothing after that. Assuming i'm reading this correctly, it looks when getting an armor drop, the splits are (rounded for simplicity) to be about : 50/20/5/25% (nothing/R/L/E) for Legendary lost sectors. 50/12/5/33 (nothing/R/L/E) for Master lost sectors. That honestly seems higher than I would expect, but again great work!It's really not that confusing. It means that you're more likely to get an exotic drop from a 1840 lost sector. They are rare drops in 1830 and common in 1840. It's the likelihood of getting an exotic to drop, so in this case common is better. 1840 is a higher difficulty so the chances are better, hence the "common". 3.

Defeat everything in the Lost Sector, especially the Champions. Chamber of Starlight can be glitchy whereby the Champs don't spawn properly until you reach the far side of the room near the chest.
