I even took my Mark I to the gun shop and told them I wanted a Mark III just like it. Young guy working there did not know how to measure a barrel length. Weight is 38 oz compared to the 41 oz of the 6 7/8" Hunter. The shorter barrel does give it quite a different feel, despite the small difference in weight. I just assumed it was a 4 5/8" because Ruger does offer the MKIII Standard in a short barrel, too (4.75). Sorry about being a little sloppy on the exact length.
