I have also shot 22mag with this, and it handles it just fine. I was more impressed when I purchased a Chiappa version with a 12 inch barrel. The Chiappa shoots great, but looks and feels like a toy gun. The Rough Rider looks and feels like a big brand gun. Did this more than once despite serious cleaning. Sold it to a guy that said "these are the best guns made." toolite and The Happy Kaboomer.
