Apr 5, 2021 · RAB + Eyesight Disabled + Check Engine. My wife started her Onyx this morning to go to work and all those alerts popped up. She shut the car down and restarted, nothing changed. I just told her to take my car and I would look at it later. In the meantime she got a service appointment at the dealer for tomorrow morning.

All of a sudden a few weeks ago while coming home from work my no Eyesight, No lane Assist, no X Mode, Brake light, and check engine lights all came on on my dash! The Eye Sight shut down, Check Engine light is on, Vehicle Dynamics Control warning light is on (looks like a skidding car), Lane Departure Warning OFF light is on, Pre-Collision Braking System OFF light is on and the Brake System Warning light is flashing.

Does a loose gas cap generates a fault code? I can imagine that could cause the check engine and that in turn cause the eyesight to stop. The flashing x-mode light and lack of an outside temp display confuses me. The latter is just a convenience thing, right? My reader does report the computer knowing the ambient temp. I took my car to the dealership over the weekend to solve the issue of Eyesight disabling and re-enabling intermittently, (like every 2 minutes). The dealership had the car from 7:30AM to 2:30PM. They test drove the car a few times while "adjusting" some things with their computers and put about 9 miles on the car.
