My favorite way to play Battania is a 50/50 Fian/Falx army with 3/4 of Falxmen left at tier 4. The regular Falxman performs better in melee than the tier 5 Veteran version, but the Veterans perform better against cav. It's a very easy and versatile army able to play aggressively or defensively.
