Again all the experience and information shared by forum members has been great along with the YouTube videos so I think I can handle this repair.So, I ended up replacing the entire Spool valve with a honda part. FYI I was able to get my local dealer's parts counter to match honda parts online's price + shipping which was roughly an $80-100 savings. 6 hours is a bit of a reach IMO, unless they are also going to remove the rear valve cover and check valve lash on the rear cylinders as well.The ELD gives information to the PCM with a DC voltage between 1.1-5 VDC. The higher the number, the lower the load, and vice versa. So when the sensing voltage stays above 2.5-2.8 VDC, the PCM tells the alternator to turn off.
