Jun 13, 2022 · Figured it had never been used and was stuck. I put pressure on the mower deck by standing on it and it didn't move. At some point it did move and when I raised it back up it will not go back down. It is stuck in the upper position and moves about 1/2" up or down when the lever control is used. 3 point still needs pressure to lower but not raise. So, take a seat on the lawn mower seat with the brake on. Give the key a turn to ON, then OFF. If there is a switch or electrical cabling fault, the clutch will engage as soon as it receives power by turning the key. You will be able to hear a clicking sound coming from the clutch as it engages and disengages.
